The price per litre is lower for larger quantities, reflecting the cost of delivery. There are ways to manage your cost over a year, for example, you can order in larger quantities and set up a monthly payment plan so you don’t pay the full cost in advance. Alternatively, it’s worth considering forming a community buying group with your neighbours to buy and save together.
Contact your local depot as soon as possible. In emergencies, we always try to deliver on the next working day, although the weather can sometimes cause delays. The best way to avoid running out is to take our Top-up service.
A year ago it became clear that as Johnston Oils Limited expanded in Scotland it’s English divisions weren’t getting their fair share of attention. To counter this we set up a leadership team for our three largest English depots in our national accounts office in Bristol.
As this team grew into the role they started to take the business in a direction more suited to the English market, and we decided to form a separate limited company to distinguish the two businesses. JOE is still under the same family ownership, but now has the focus of serving our customers from our distribution hubs in Gloucester, Birmingham and Middlesbrough, as well as our national accounts across the UK.
Why JOE? It started as an acronym (Johnston Oils England) but since then we feel it’s come to represent the honest, familiar approach we bring to fuel supply.
